Fall 2010 Makeup Trends: Color or No Color

Color or no color at all, makeup for Fall 2010 was certainly original. This season, designers allowed makeup artists to spread their wings and be bold. Even with all that “uniqueness”some definite trends did emerge.

Ladies prepare to groom as eyebrows seemed to take the spotlight. Artists at Valentino,Prada, and Marni did everything with dark brow fill from filling in to painting on, perfectlycoifed and shaped arches. This look was maximized by the contrast of the pale and perfectly powdered neutral faces that where underneath.

How to do this look at home:

Make sure your brows are well groomed and have a definite shape. Do not over pluck! Fill them in with a brow powder that is just a half a shade darker than your brow hair. Use restraint or risk channeling your inner “spock”.

Make sure your complexion looks flawless by using a good foundation and concealer. Then only use powder on your t-zone. To avoid looking too washed out, use a matte blush in a sheer neutral shade.

For lips, fill in the entire lip with a flesh toned lip liner and apply a good lip balm on top to keep lips from looking dull and dry.
