I had an amazing moment when we first launched Madison Plus, I got to meet Andre Leon Tally at the LaGuardia airport, I was paying for my magazine at Hudson News. I looked down to see an amazing pair of shoes and immediately I thought “OMG it’s Andre Leon Tally” only to look up and there he was next to me. I worked up the nerve to introduce myself and give him my business card. Living in NYC gives me the chance to cross paths with my fair share of celebrities and Andre Leon Tally is the first one that I felt I had to approach. He was lovely and I could tell he did not want to be bothered while he read his newspaper so I quickly went off to my flight.

I came across this Huffington Post article where he interviews Melissa McCarthy at the red carpet for the 2012 SAG awards, and what feels like a compliment from him quickly leaves you with a funny taste in your mouth. Melissa McCarthy looks a little confused, and it seems that Andre Leon Tally doesn’t have to speak to too many celebs about weight.
