Last week on Shark Tank plus size designer Gayla Bentley appeared to ask for an investment of $250,00 to start her own flagship store in Houston, Texas. Bentley stated that 60% of American women wear a 12 or larger and are “forced to shop in the far corners of the department stores, only to find clothes that don’t fit and we don’t even like.” (Something we will change here at MadisonPlus.com!) The sharks at first could not believe that such a large percentage of the population was not being addressed and that the demand was there, but Damon John, founder of FUBU, assured them that it is true.
