MP STYLE GUIDE RSSThe Oscars prove again this year that red carpet fashion is always full of fabulous designs, and this year was no different. We put together our favorites. Sparkles, and the colour blue were a must this year on the red carpet beautifully worn by Sandra Bullock, Kristan Stewart, Monique, Nichole Richie, Mariah Carey, and Gabourey Sidibe.
My favorite was by far Sandy Powell (below), Oscar winner for costume design on The Young Victoria. I know I went off the grid with this one, but she has style! Her dress has a beautiful print with a daring back with a deep-v, and a perfectly placed feather broach!

I agree 100% with you! Sandy Powell put all the Barbie dolls and country singer look alikes to shame. Incredibly well dressed, beautiful, mature and confident = How sexy is that?!
I agree Sandy’s dress was lovely and fashionable but to me it didn’t project, “I’m at the Oscars”.
I was surprised there was no power purple or bright yellow. I loved the electric blue but was surprised to see so many people wearing it.
Some of my faves are definitely on your list: Kate, Helen, Vera, Sandra, Penelope.
While I thought Gabby’s dress was lovely I actually thought it looked a bit too old for her.
