On Saturday afternoon I attended the Jonano fashion show with plus size expert and former plus model Catherine Schuller. The line was designed by Henry N. Jackson who has had worked for such designers as Valentino and Oscar de La Renta and has had design stints in Paris, Milan, and New York. Henry designs pieces that work well for straight sizes as well as plus sizes with the line going up to an XL, size 16. One of the strengths of the line was the flattering drape of the styles. This was achieved by Henry’s design expertise as well as the luxurious knits the line uses. Jonano only uses eco-friendly fibers; such as corn, bamboo, organic cotton, and wild tussah silk. Without a doubt, my favorite piece from the line was the cocoon wrap that comes in either organic cotton or bamboo. It drapes great on any body type and can be paired with anything from a dress to jeans and a t-shirt. Even better, it can also be worn as a hood as Catherine Schuller demonstrated in the below pic.

The looks were modeled by several beautiful models, one being plus model Chanel J. Clark.  Chanel is Henry’s covergirl for representing real women in high end fashion designs. She was kind enough to model the looks exclusively for Madison Plus after the show.

I am sure we will be seeing more of Jonana, Henry, and Chanel!
