Why did you decide to pursue a career in the modeling industry?

It may sound corny…..but since I could remember I have always LOVED to (IN THE WORDS OF Beyonce’) “POSE FOR THE CAMERA NOW…FLICK FLICK!”  I am very animated and eccentric; people say “I’m a Character!” And After many unsuccessful years of trying to tame my personality to fit into the corporate world, I decided to try modeling.  I love fashion, style, and attention.  I mean what girl doesn’t want to get all dolled up and walk the catwalk.  Oh yeah! Did I mention I Love Attention!!!! LOL

What is your guilty pleasure?

This is a hard one because I have soooo many…LOL…but I will name a few.  Shopping of course (it’s more like an addiction)…some of my favorite things to buy are Juicy Couture Jewelry, Uggs, designer hand bags and shoes.   I LOVE Miley Cyrus’s “Party in the USA” every time I hear it I have to dance.  Reality TV shows sucks me in every time.  Right now I love Bad Girls Club and I want to Work for Diddy2.  Last but not Least my girl Wendy Williams…I love her show “HOW YOU DOIN?”

What is your must have winter clothing item?

I love hats.  So I love all the big over the top warm and cozy hats that come out for the winter.  I also love Uggs they are like wearing slippers everywhere you go.  I’d try to wear them year round if I could.

If you were not modeling what career path would you have taken and why?

I Love Kids….In fact am just a Big Kid at Heart! So I would definitely be working with them in some capacity.  I graduated from Temple University with a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education so most likely I would be teaching 2nd or 3rd grade.  I would also be working on achieving one of my ultimate goals, opening my own charter school. I am very passionate about education and the opportunities some one could have if given a strong educational foundation.

What are your favorite designers that you look to for inspiration?

I love Betsey Johnson’s creativity and crazy designs.  Monif C. is representing for the big girls and brings style and high fashion to plus size clothing. Michael Kors designs are so classic, timeless, and sexy. Isaac Mizrahi thinks outside the box and isn’t afraid to try new things.  Lastly Vera Wang, she has great clothing for when I want to be a little more feminine and sexy.

What is your dream photoshoot?

To be Honest…every photoshoot is a dream shoot because this is everything I have ever wanted and desired. Though I have a lot to accomplish as a model, I know that this is the beginning of my road to success.  I feel like I am dreaming every time the camera flashes.  But If I had to pick something, I would absolutely LOVE to do a shoot with my mom.  She is truly my motivation and I want her to experience the rush of joy you get when you are made over head to toe, Hair, make-up and the Hottest clothes any woman could dream of…the Works! I know that lucky photographer would have their work cut out for them because my mother is just as crazy and silly as me.  But that shoot would be one to be remembered and a dream come true.

What would you like the world to know about plus size models?

Plus size models are Freakin HOT!  We are women who understand that there is no standard size on sexy.  We are showing the other side of the spectrum to balance things out in the public’s eye  As long as you are HEALTHY(not starving yourself to fit into a certain size or eating unhealthy foods and not being active) you should feel blessed and live life to the fullest.  I want all woman weather you’re a size 2 or 18 to know that confidence is not determined by your weight or what others think of you. It comes from your ability to realize you are blessed to be healthy and alive be appreciative and celebrate life. And that is exactly what I do every time I walk down the runway!!!!
