The night was full of inspiring, and empowering women that ranged from actresses to heads of state including Queen Raina, Julia Roberts, Constance McMillen, Lisa Leslie, Dr. Hawa and her daughters, Olympic Skier Lindsey Vonn, and Cher who was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award.

Queen Raina was one of the honoree’s and when she accepted her award she stated that glamour is not only about “how good you can look, but how much good you can do.”

Constance McMillan’s tux was custom designed by Isaac Mizrahi. Her high school prom was canceled when she wanted to wear a tux and bring her girlfriend to the prom. Kelly Osborne who presented Constance with the award said “F**k the prom—you’re dancing with me tonight.”

WNBA star Lisa Leslie accepted her award from NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg and encouraged the audience to look in the mirror and love what they see.

Dr. Hawa Abdi and her daughters (also doctors) received their award to a standing ovation. The women converted their family property near Mogadishu into a camp for displaced Somalis.

Cher was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award for her work in the entertainment industry but also for her work with veterans through The Heroes Project.

What an amazing night with remarkable women!
