We recently launched our hot new editorial; City Street Blues. The hairstylist for the shoot was the prestigious Jessica Candia from the Yves Durif Salon in Manhattan. Jessica was so kind to share exclusively with MP fans how she did plus models Erika and Jenny’s hair for the City Street Blues photoshoot.  Learn how she created the looks so you can get Erika and Jenny’s City Street Blues look!

Loose waves – I started by working with the models natural wave.  I got the hair nice and messy with Profound Beauty Desert Texture Spray and made loose interwoven curls with a GHD flat iron.  I continued to separate the curls and give body to the roots with Profound Beauty Design Paste.

Side braid – I used the textured hair and braided without making the sections too clean.  Creating an effortless braid that works perfectly with our Denim Look. These are easy styles that take you through your day with a minimum amount of work.
Jessica Candia has worked as a hairstylist at the Yves Durif Salon in Manhattan for the past four years.  Drawing inspiration from her clients and colleagues, she enjoys creating looks that are fun, relaxed, and easy to recreate. Jessica looks forward to expanding her creative potential in the field of editorial work.
