The studio is buzzing with new spring merch from all our favorite retailers, and while we can’t seem to get enough bright colors in our look, we are also excited to try an opposite palette with soft watercolor neutrals. We’ve see this look on some of our favorite celeb’s and are inspired to try this trend with dresses. We adore dresses, especially in the warmer months, as they are a quick and easy way to look your best and feel beautiful. Color is a big trend this season and a key look we really love. Here in NYC we wear so much black and dark colors that seeing pop’s of color peeking out is really refreshing and helping to usher Spring in with a bang! There are many ways to wear color (like a bag) but an easy way to bring a brighter color to your look is to keep the focus on one piece. Take a cue from the downtown girls and some fashion-forward celebrities with a great pair of Bright Pants.

For the curvy ladies out there who want to highlight your legs but not show off skin, this is the perfect look. Run with your favorite colours. Keep a simple shape for your tee and try pairing with a cropped jacket or layer on fun accessories with complimentary pops or color. Some fresh color combo’s to try are pink and red, navy and blue, and kelly green and orange.

We are pleased to bring you an amazing new editorial from the Wilhelmina’s W Curve division featuring Amanda Dougherty for Elena Miro Italy, SS11 collection. Amanda has just returned from Milan fashion week where she walked for Elena Miro. A true classic beauty!

What do you think of plus model Amanda Dougherty?

Elena Miro’s Fall 2011 line which is called Curve d’Italia, was shown at Milan fashion week and proved that curvy body is essential to fashion in its fullest. The collection focused on the strengths of Elena Miro dynamic classics with a twist. The combination of these classic silhouettes with various fabrics such as silks and wools.

Plaids, tweeds and tartans were featured on the Fall 2011 runways and Elena Miro prominently features tweeds in her collection. Love the classic shape of this suit and the pencil skirt which extends past the knee, which embraces the longer length that you are starting to see featured prominently this spring.

12+ UK Models Gwyneth Harrison, Laura Catterall, and Olessia Roudtchenko walked in the Mark Fast show during London’s Fashion Week. They all looked stunning in the collection which was entitled “A Wolf in Sheeps’ Clothing“. Mark wowed us once again with his fabulous knitwear creations and the twist of incorporating leather and natural wools in the pieces.
