Glee star Amber Riley put her fabulous curvy figure on display for her first ever fashion editorial for Essence Magazine’s Black Women in Hollywood Issue.

Amber Riley found her inspiration from her favourite artist the talented Chaka Khan “Not only because her voice is amazing” said Amber “She has a different style from anybody who was in her era. She brought a sexiness to R&B. It wasn’t like sexiness in stilettos, it was just the confidence that she has.”

Amber’s confidence is radiating from her, this shoot is again proof that there should be no excuses from the fashion world when styling & designing for plus.

Beth Ditto’s New Memoir

Beth Ditto is looking to have a busy 2011. This year she is releasing a new memoir about her life as well as her debut solo album. Her new memoir is called “Coal Into Diamonds” and she recently gave her fans the following teaser:

“My life was supposed to be simple and non-negotiable: birth, church, work, marriage, kids, death. But along the way something happened. Coal Into Diamonds is my story – growing up feeling like you are on the margins of society and struggling to find your place. My memoir talks directly to disenfranchised, misunderstood kids everywhere.”

Christina Hendricks’ Halloween

The curvacious Christina Hendricks spent Halloween with her family having a low key lunch at a Mexican restaurant in Los Angeles. Christina wore a shirtdress that she cinched at the waist with a black belt and finished off with a matching clutch and glasses.

Christina talked to Britain’s Grazia magazine about how her mother has taught her to embrace her curves.

She said, “I love my body as it is. People in the industry have been telling me to lose weight for years but I like the way I look. I give credit for my mother for helping me feel good about my appearance – for making sure I never felt embarrassed about my body, because she was never worried about looking too big.”

Now that is some great advice from Mom!

This past Saturday was the Creative Arts ceremony at the Nokia Theater in LA. Curvy favorite Christina Hendricks was looking as ravishing as ever in a black one-shoulder belted dress.

Erika Christensen also looked stunning in a a short navy dress that was nipped at the waist and voluminous through pleating around the neck. Erika also jumped on the lace trend with a thin hint of it around her neck.
