Sunny Fong is a past winner of Project Runway Canada and designer and creator of VAWK clothing line. Today he showed a 24-piece show at Toronto’s Fashion Week. Not only did Fong show another amazing line that was had a theme of a “mushrooms meet Maseratis”, he also showed his line on models that broke the typical runway model mold. He showed a nude colored sheath dress on an older, silver-haired, model and nude jacket dress on a size 12 plus size model.

Fong also recently shared a behind the scenes look into the process of designing his line with the Canadian newspaper, The Globe and Mail. Fong says that he finds some of his best ideas through “random Google searches and online photo archives”.

Jessica Biffi a Project Runway Canada alum will be guest designing with the Canadian Plus lines Addition Elle and MXM for this spring season. She is a master at draping and her use of pop colours really made her Spring 2010 line jump from the runway. I am really looking forward to see the collections she puts together for Addition Elle and MXM.
