My mind overflowed with ideas on how to style this dress, and this look is probably the most straightforward of them all. It was a busy day at MP and I just wanted a look that didn’t get in my way but was still fun and polished. I added my statement wedges and two-tone Anthropologie necklace.

I am also trying out the hot new neutral nail polish – Green!

What I love about Stefanie’s designs is that they are easy to wear and this dress is perfect for all the plus figures out there due to the elastic waist band. Elastic is not always a bad a thing! I will be sure to feature this dress again in the near future but styled and remixed in a new way so you can see how versatile it truly is.

How would you style this dress?

In our last installment in our series on The 1970s Trend for 2011 we’re taking a closer look at the details – accessories! Whether you’re adding this trend into your look slowly, or going all out head-to-toe, you can have fun adding these finishing touches to your style.

The popular 1970′s accessories were the silk scarf tied around the neck, platform shoes, gold watches, and gold jewelry. Some women would even go as far as to wear ostrich-feather boas draped over their shoulders or turbans on their heads. The 70′s fashion icon Bianca Jagger would use an ebony walking stick as an accessory along with peacock-feathers in her cloche hats, green sequined shoes, and an ivory cigarette-holder. So, as you can guess, it was not a conservative time period for accessories. It was a time to make a statement.

My personal favorites that I will be wearing to add a touch of 70′s to my outfits will be the wide brim hat and the chunky, natural necklaces.  Both are perfect to pair with one of my go-to spring outfits – my maxi dress.

Ford+ model Ivana stopped by the studio recently on her way home from Philadelphia looking chic & cozy in her travel outfit. We love her easy MOD style which revealed some fun details!

She is wearing the perfect combination of travel must-haves; denim jeggings, leopard flats and a wrap. The wrap top is a wonderful travel option as it is easy to throw over your shoulders during temperature changes or to snuggle up in. Underneath the wrap, Ivana layered a lace cap sleeve tee. The tee is a nice surprise and adds a little romance to your look on-the-go.

The Madison Plus team was running through the heart of New York City’s garment center to the Rafaella Spring 2011 press event when we were stopped in our tracks at Annie Laurie’s wonderful fall look!

Her use of gray, the color of the season, with an over-sized grandfather cardigan, tights, and suede boots uses a number of fall trends in perfect harmony. She added a pop of color with a printed orange and red skirt and completed the look with an over-sized vintage bag.
