Fashion Forecast from Sydney’s Closet

Phyllis Librach from Sydney’s Closet recently took a trip to China to source fabric and design inspiration for her new Holiday 2010 and Spring 2010 lines. Librach was kind enough to send us a report from China on what the fashion trends in special occasion are for late 2010 and early 2011. Enjoy!

Fashion forecast from the Design Team at Sydney’s Closet in China working hard on Holiday 2010 and Spring 2011 Evening Collections:

For fabric, watch for Monet to meet the jungle when muted floral patterns mix with animal patterns  for a new exotic look on silk chiffon.

The wardrobe essential, the Little Black Dress gets an update with a bit of bling on straps and neckline.Pleats that fan across the bodice draw the eye up on both long formals and cocktail dresses.

Prints promise to stay strong getting bolder in color and bigger in scale.

About Sydney’s Closet

Librach, an award-winning journalist, traded deadlines for hemlines to launch SydneysCloset.com after her daughter failed to find a plus size Prom dress that flattered her curvy figure. Eight years later, Sydney’s Closet designs, distributes and sells dressy plus size dresses to teens and women ages 16 to 60 who wear sizes 14 to 44. Customers across the U.S. and around the world shop Sydney’s Closet for dresses to wear to once-in-a-lifetime celebrations from Proms to Moms walking their child down the aisle. For 2010, Sydney’s Closet introduces its own Signature Collection of ball gowns, evening formals and cocktail dresses in hard-to-find plus sizes 14 to 38.  The branded collection, sold under the Sydney’s Closet label, is available online at www.sydneyscloset.com, at the company’s flagship store in St. Louis and at fine dress shops nationwide.
