We look forward seeing how the Aussies are pushing the boundaries of “plus” so we we’re excited to see City Chic participating in Melbourne Fashion Week. The show featured contemporary, affordable, well made, clothing shown on plus models in the heart of Melbourne in Federation Square for everyone to enjoy. It’s a definite step in the right direction and one that we love seeing at Madison Plus. The runway show opened with some very sexy sleepwear designed by the face of City Chic and BGM Model Courtney Maxwell and delved into “Lady Vixen” outfits ranging from day-wear to glam. The finale was spectacular as five models had a quick backstage hair and makeup change to come out for a feature section for Designer “Damn You Alexis” who is doing a small line exclusively for City Chic! The parade finished with a bang featuring Laura Wells strutting her stuff in an incredible show-stopper!It was a wonderful experience and a first for plus sizes to be represented in a stand alone runway show for L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival. We can’t wait to see more!
